Typically the "real thing" works superior to OEM replacements...but on the
other had the replacements work so well that it isn't much of a
sacrifice...worth the try first time around...

Subject: [Wireless PDA SIG] Batteries

Hi. As some of you know, I just acquired a new toy -- a Nokia 770 Internet
Tablet, which suddenly makes me interested in the doings of the WirelessPDA
SIG. :)

One quick help question. I'd like to get a second battery for the thing,
and the genuine Nokia BP-5L battery (the same one used on some of their
high-end cell phones) is hellaciously expensive. I have heard bad things
about third-party batteries (which are 1/3 the price or less) for these kind
of devices. Is there concensus that it's worth spending the extra money for
the "real thing"? (I notice that the OEM batteries are not the same thing
re-branded, because none of them have as high a mAh rating as the Nokia
battery.

Thanks for any advice.
