Hi All,

Sorry I couldn't give the altools address last night...my laptop is in
one of it's "Media disconnected" states, so I couldn't connect to the
internet....the address for anyone wanting to check out the "Free"
Altools software is:

http://www.altools.com/

Also, I had the problem with Adobe Reader 8 that tells you a plug in is
needed to view a .pdf file in your browser....the way I fixed it was to
open Adobe Reader, Edit, Preferences, Internet, Web browser Options

then Uncheck the "Display PDF in Browser" box....then when you click on
a .pdf file from within your browser of choice (IE or Firefox or Opera,
etc) the pdf file will open correctly through Adobe Reader.

If you want to open the file through the browser instead of Adobe
(ie as a plug in) try this link:

Hope this helps, if you need further help just e-mail and I will try to
help.

P.S. I use Google to search my issues for troubleshooting (Yes, Lloyd, I
know YOU hate Google, but it works for me, so I use it..simply type in
your problem (browser is saying I need to install an Adobe Plug-in) and
search. You may have to search through several listings or several
pages to find the one that best fits your situation. I also am a
member of Experts-Exchange (http://www.experts-exchange.com/)--I joined
when it was free (not sure if you can join this way as the membership is
$9.99/mo...but I have over 7000 points to use for computer
troubleshooting issues (I have been a member for 6-7 years and go there
when I can't find the answer in the various knowledge bases)
