Not withstanding Dwight Brooks' answer...

When I went into the FF3.0 add-ons pages, I was able to lookup each of
my existing add-ons and both the short description and full-page
descriptions indicated whether the extension was OK foruse with FF 3.0.
Without the fancy green download button, you probably don't have have a
usable ver 3.0 extension.

Still, I wasn't really sure of my existing v2.x extensions until I
upgraded and found a few of them broke. They were automatically disabled
by FF3.0 so the impact on my operation was more a task of looking for an
equivalent extension from the list.

...not so easy for my Ubuntu setup, though. I'd already messed up *that*
one trying to keep from being "forced" to upgrade to the latest beta of
3.0. I've got extensions I can't see and other little nightmares
interspersed with unrelated headaches of display and Samba (Window's
file sharing) problems.

Frustrating, but it keeps me feeling like a relative beginner. Keeps me
humble too.
