Secretary's Report (Butler)
Board members reported email receipt of Electronic Meeting Record to
approve the Nominating committee members but minutes were not received
for the November meeting or the Annual Membership meeting. No BoD
meeting was held in December.

Treasurer's Report (Davol)
Steve reported that if receipts and expenses were fixed at current
amounts, our operating loss would exhaust assets in 28 years. However,
meeting room rental and capital expenditures are likely to rise so this
financial drain is actually more serious. Our operating loss was $845 in
2006 and is projected to be between $600 and $700 in 2007, not counting
any capital expenditures. Other, cheaper meeting sites were mentioned
including the Commons at Balconies Research Center. Steve reported that
dues receipts for 2006 were up 105% from 2005 due to failure to collect
all of 2005 membership dues. However, he has received only a handful of
membership renewals for 2007. A question was raised whether email
reminders were sent to people who's membership had recently expired or
was due to expire soon. (Don Jones explained on Tuesday 1/23/07 that
only 15 or so renewals were due in December so, given that several
renewals were paid in person or via Pay Pal, a handful of USPS renewals
is consistent with expectations. Don said that renewals due through 2007
will be paid prorata for the remainder of 2007 and that, starting in
2008, all membership renewals will be due at the first of the year.)
Steve also submitted several copies of his CCA 2006 Annual Financial
Report and volunteered to email copies to anyone who requests.

Committee Reports,
Gary reported that Ann Cunningham has volunteered to chair the 2006 audit
committee and that Don Powers has also volunteered. Richard Eveland
indicated that he might serve and Dave Mead volunteered to serve in the
event that Eveland cannot. Sandy moved, DJ seconded and the BoD approved
these appointments.

Membership Report (Jones), not available

Programs Report (Olson)
Errol reported that Smart Computing magazine will speak to the General
Meeting on February 13th in TCC room #3.122, one week later than our
regular date and one floor above our regular location. Prospective
programs for March include Microsoft on Vista, New Horizons, various
motivational speakers, Computer Vendors & Repair shops and Holland Photo
on photo retouching.

Old Business, n/a

New Business

Sandy stated she will not purchase the new Microsoft Windows Vista and
therefore may not be the best person to continue as Windows SIG leader.
She has served as Windows SIG leader since 1995.

Loyd asked for BoD permission to recast the Easy Technology SIG as the
Easy Technology Help SIG which will heretofore operate as a tech support
resource rather than a SIG with regular monthly meetings. The BoD
approved this by acclimation. Loyd also offered CCA the use of his 80"
pull-down projector screen.

Gary and Dave tentatively plan to reschedule Photo SIG meetings from the
3rd Monday in January and February, which coincide with holiday closures
at branch libraries, to the 4th Tuesdays.

Errol reported that Microsoft will sponsor a seminar in Austin on 3/1/07
during which evaluation copies of Vista will be given to attendees. See
MicrosoftEvents.com.
