Computer Consulting Wizards was founded in 2002 by Jeff Bernier. Jeff, after years of employment in the consulting field, had identified a need to bring higher quality, cost effective Internet capabilities to small and medium-sized businesses.

To accomplish this task, we utilize free, open source software (known as FOSS) whenever possible. Computer Consulting Wizards primarily develops websites, e-commerce systems and custom databases, although we address the system and networking needs of our clients as well.

Jeff holds a B.A. in computer science, with a business concentration. He possesses more than 10 years of experience in the computer industry working as a programmer/developer/consultant. During this time, he spent over 7 years as a consultant working for small to medium-sized consulting companies. Past responsibilities have included:

• project management;
• evaluation of technologies and equipment;
• database design and implementation;
• interactive and static website planning, design and development;
• network planning and administration;
• system administration

He has been a member of the Central Texas PC Users Group (CTPCUG) in Austin for more than 10 years and is a past vice-president of this organization. As a member of the CTPCUG, he co-founded and served as co-leader of the Digital Photography Special Interest Group, served as leader of the Access Special Interest Group and is currently leader of the Web Design Special Interest Group.
